week old pheasants - wise move?

Today I stumbled across some week old pheasant for sale - I am in two halfs as to whether it would be a good idea to try & raise some! I have heard some horror stories about them being terribly hard to raise - & I dont think I could handle to many baby deaths... any one with nay valuable advice?
i have a shed i can create a pen in to start with, and thought they could free range in the end?

Depends on the pheasant. ringnecks need lots of space or they will become cannibalistic when they get a little older you can put peepers on them to prevent the picking. Good luck if you decide to get them.
