weighing the eggs

so you weigh the eggs on day one, then at what intervals to monitor humidity?

All depends on how detailed you want to be... Every day would be ideal, as it provides a lot of accuracy...

But, I would say every three days is a good medium, as that gets you 7 point over 21 days... And provides for less handling means less chances for physical damage to the eggs...

Weigh on day 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16 and 19 for example and look for about a 1.86% weight loss with each new measurement, or about 13% loss over the entire incubation period...

The more points of measurement gives you more time to adjust things, without finding yourself in a bind with no time to correct...

Thanks. I was going to do it every day, but on day one only a few eggs showed any measurable difference (my scale does not have decimals), so I figured really it takes about 3 days mathmatically to get a full move of 1 gram (57 grams losing 14.5% divided by 21) so I am going to measure every three days.
