So in a previous post I had posted that our 1 year old hen got attacked by a dog. We took her to the vet, they cleaned her up, stitched her up and gave antibiotics.
We kept her separated in a smaller coop within the main coop for about 2 weeks. Wow, did she loose alot of weight! She is back with the flock, her feathers have grown back, wound is healed and maybe gained a tiny bit but is still very thin. I feel sorry for her because since the attack she is very skittish and keeps to herself. It's sad.
Any ideas about the weight loss?

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
