I like the taste of the BBW that I raised 2yrs ago, so I bought some more this year. Question: approx. how much weight is there to a 10 week old? 13 week old?

Reason for asking is we don't want a 17-20lb turkey. Just a small one like I read the Midget Whites can be (10-12lbs approx.).

Can we just slaughter them earlier, but late enough so there's some meat to them? :fl
We don't want to grow them to 17-20lbs and then cut them in pieces for the freezer. Just want to freeze up small turkeys. Furthermore, our Jumbo Rocks will be ready then too (10-13 weeks), so EVERYTHING can get butchered at one time. :caf

Storeys guide to Raising Turkeys says that broad breasted varieties should weight 9-12 pounds by 10 weeks and 15-20 by 14 weeks.

You can butcher at whatever age you want.

I'd shoot for 15lbs live, that should give you 10-11 pounds dressed, figuring you lose about 25% in processing. Unless turkeys are a different percentage live/dressed.

Kind of depends, but we raise our BBW's to 12-15 pounds in 16 weeks on pasture. If it's a warm fall, they can gain a bit quicker than that.
