and i drink water, lots and lots of water.

I suck at it again, temptation won again! UGH!

For supper, chicken stir fry is the menu, have to do some shortcuts! Got fresh chicken, fresh broccoli, canned water chestnuts, fresh carrots, chicken broth and the yummy sauce is what is going to be the killer....broth, cornstarch, soy sauce (light), ginger and garlic. So is it really that fattening? I've got old fashioned rice (yes, the one you have to cook, not instant or preboiled).

I am a caffeine addict. I too have anxiety, and my panic attacks are very few. But when I do have one its a major thing. Is I have a really hard time with out my caffeine. I have NO energy. NONE at all. I don't know how to get around that. Did you have energy problems after quitting your caffeine?

Everybody's supper sounded good! Remember, I'm going at this with doing healthier things, not deprivation. If you enjoy something that you,.. ahem..., didn't plan to eat every once in a while, thats not so bad; just be sure to look for something really healthy the rest of the day.

For those lacking energy, you might look into Reishi mushrooms. Google it and you'll see that they have many healthy benefits, one of which is extra energy. They are not a 'magic pill' or anything and the natural way is usually a little longer road than the alopathic way so don't expect to be bouncing off the walls after one cup of tea. The benefits are cumulative and really don't take that long. You can purchase tinctures and teas, but I prefer to make my own (as always). Alcohol tinctures provide a different benefit than teas, so do your homework. (The good things in the mushrooms that give you energy and an immune system boost are water soluable; the anti-inflamatory properties are brought out by the alcohol). Anyway, something else to learn about...I like to learn stuff....

Tonight I think I'll do a smoothie made with:
2TBL raw tahini (sesame seed paste)
1 frozen banana
2 TBL raw cacao powder
1 TBL hemp oil (or flax or even olive oil if you don't have hemp)
Honey to taste, thats about 1 TBL for me
a big pinch of slippery elm bark
a pinch of sea salt
water and or ice if your banana is not frozen
Blend in a blender until creamy and enjoy!

This tastes like a chocolate/banana shake to me. You don't have to put the slippery elm bark in it if you don't have it.

yeah exactly, i'm not into yo-yo dieting and deprivation, because that just leads to cravings and binging. you want something? have a little bit, then move on. portion is more important than what you're eating usually. and if you have a slice of cake, or whatever, then you eat less somewhere else, like having cereal for breakfast instead of pancakes. it's about having a healthy diet in general, not some silly super-restrictive starvation diet, and having a healthy lifestyle where you get some exercise in.

I did Tai Chi long ago. I would like to do it again. It is wonderful for balance and light strenghtening exercise. It reminds me of yoga, but I find Tai Chi easier and more relaxing. Because each slow movement flows into another, there is very little joint stress.

I've managed to get my weight back to where I thought it was initially. That means my former goals are reinstated. I haven't walked recently because I have been volunteering up at the school so much recently. Cooler weather is supposed to move in tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get out again....

All y'all also need to stop talking about dinner....it just makes me hungry.

Sprouts had berries on sale, so I bought bunches. They are such a treat!
