Hi All, I'm new to the group and also new to raising chickens. I got 17 pullets about 6 weeks ago and from what he told me, they should all be 5 months old as of yesterday. No eggs yet
I can't wait to get my first egg!!!
Anyway, my question is...3 days ago they have all started acting nutty at each other. They puff up their feathers, move their neck and head around at each other, jump straight up and down (like cartoon characters), jump over each other and then squawk and peck at one another. They have done this for 3 straight mornings when they first come out of their coop into their yard.
There have always been 2 that are clearly at the bottom of the pecking order and they continuously get picked on but not like this and this is all 17 of them acting like this. Is this weird or normal behavior?
Thanks for any advice!
