It looks possibly like fowl pox, which is a virus carried by mosquitoes. In young chicks the scabs can become very large, and you need to watch that they don’t block nostrils or eyes. Make sure the chick is eating and drinking normally. If you have iodine or Betadine, you can dab some on the scabs with a QTip, but other wise leave them alone if possible. Pox lasts about a month. Usually you will see scabs on other chickens.
