Yeah.. I used to follow my brother around when I was little...
Living in S Fl.. there was a small canal, with baby alligators we could see, that he helped me jump over... I suppose I must have annoyed him though, because both my brother and his friend took off back over it.. and I couldn't jump across on my own

So I had to find the skinny part of the canal and run through it.
I can't tell you the nightmares I have had of baby alligators biting my toes since then. And now, I am really, really, scared of them.. so I'm always dreaming I'm stuck swimming in a pond and alligator ridges above the water are coming at me. Or the house floods and alligators are in it and about to get up on my bed

I use to love to free dive and snorkel. I've swam with sting rays, manatees, a barracuda, and once touched a baby nurse shark. But there is no way on earth you can get me into those swamp waters. just thinking about them makes my skin crawl and makes my breath catch.

With the alligators.. yeah, it doesen't help that I still have to watch all the shows featuring the gators and crocs... at least there aren't as many crocs here as gators, but the way those crocs swim in the ocean is almost twice as scary... but I watch those shows with my hands half over my eyes and my toes scrunched up
