    I have 5 chickens, and they're 9 months old. Two are laying (a third might just be starting). When I went to collect eggs today I found what looked like a mucus ball in the nesting box. I'm not sure what it is and am wondering if one of my chickens is sick, and if so what I can do about it. [IMG]

    If those chips are cedar chips, get rid of them.. Only use pine or straw, or hay as bedding.
    Edit;;
    Almost forgot. [IMG]

  3. That just looks like an egg yolk...Unformed egg....If your not providing Oyster shell? Pick some up...

    And stay away from Cedar Chips....

    Cheers!
