Weird Egg Thread! Put your strange eggs here!

I am starting a thread where everyone can post pics of the weird eggs they get, because every chicken owner has gotten that egg that they just have to stare at! I usually get a wrinkled one here and there, but I just got a doozy this morning! So I'll start the weird egg thread with this one:

I did. Both had hard shells. I wish I'd taken pictures.

Thanks for tagging me! I deleted the picture of my weird egg, but it looked just like yours.

Your weird egg is called a slab sided egg! It made contact with another egg in the egg tract and got flattened on the side it made contact.

Oh, wrinkled eggs can have many reasons.. respiratory disease of sorts is a biggie. See the following article to try and help determine which type of anomaly you are seeing and what the cause may be.. That one looks like it MIGHT be slab sided??

Rotten eggs inside another egg.. would be indicative imo.. of an infection.. either Salmonella, Salpingitis, etc.. possibly coupled with a hiccup. No I have not yet experience it.

Your first tag looks like it worked.. I might just have not progressed that far yet this morning.
