Weird egg

One of my girls “Coturnix” just laid this one. All of my girls lay spotted eggs so this is a definite surprise!

These happen now and then. The spot pattern is the last part of the egg production, so if the egg is laid just a bit early, it may look like this one or even be white.

That explains a lot! We had thunderstorms this morning, the thunder must have scared the spots off her egg! Lol
