I had to stay in the hospital a few nights this week and since I wouldn't be there to feed my two silkies that stay inside my house I had my grandma to feed them everyday. When I got home I noticed my girls eye was crusted shut and she wasn't eating just kind of laying in a corner so i gently wiped it with a warm cloth and cleaned it but it looks swollen and possibly infected? I'm not sure what's wrong with it or what happened since my grandmother wasn't watching them 24/7 but I'll try to add some pictures in a few. Any advice is much appreciated
Edit: here are the best pictures I could get of the eye, you can only really see it with the flash it's not quite the eye itself it looks like somethings weird with her second eyelid? I hope that's the right word for it 💀 but I'm not sure what the hells wrong

She has a little scab or place above the eye on her head, maybe she got pecked.

I'd use Saline and flush the eye really well, take a qtip or cloth and try to remove any crust or debris, then put an ointment in the eye like Terramycin eye ointment or if you don't have that you can use Original Neosporin.
Flush/clean at least once daily, then apply your ointment. See if it improves in a week.

Tysm I'll try it and see how it goes

I wasn't been online much due to my own health issues so i couldn't update but it actually cleared up completely on its own like a day and a half after I cleaned it, Im guessing it had just gotten a little irritated from the gunk and feathers that were stuck to it, once it was clean i put a little tie in her feathers to keep them out of her eye and she instantly started eating and drinking on her own. She's back to running around the house with our little roo just like before

I'm sorry you've not been well, I hope you are feeling a little better.

I'm glad that she's doing better and the issues have been resolved.

Thank you for the update.
