M31 (messier object) the Andromeda Galaxy. Our closest galaxy to earth and
is visible to the naked eye. Located in the constellation Andromeda next to Pegasus
visible in the fall. Quite a site if you know what you are looking for. On a clear
night it appears as a small cloud next to the darkness of night.
