Okay I can start tonight. would doing it every other day be enough or too much?

And he eats what everyone else in the coop eats, since we have mostly hens we feed layer pellets, from blue seal, we also free range so he can also eat what ever he finds outside, right now though, everything is frozen so theres not much else but grain.

Every other day should be alright. You can lessen the frequency as he gets better. The feed he is getting should be fine. You might want to add some extra protein once a week if he is having problems with feathers. A small portion (2oz of meat/fish, 1 egg) of meat, eggs, fish 2-3 times a week should help a lot.
