Ok, so my genesis, which has always been spot on temperature wise, decided to spike on me on day 19. It was up to 102.6, for possibly up to 6 hours. I had to open the bator to turn it down, then it dropped and stayed at 98, so I later opened the bator again to readjust, then it went back where it was supposed to be. I added more water after the openings....
Ok, so on very early easter morning, a chick popped out of his shell with most of his yolk sac hanging, wedged itself against the wall, and promptly died. By 11pm that night, only 2 others had hatched, both healthy. By this morning, there was about 8. Now, theres probably 14. BUT there are STILL quite a few pips (new pips) and even a zipped chick in there. This has now been almost 40 hours since the first chick died, and 30 hours since the first live ones hatched.
I dont want to open it and jeaopardize those still hatching, but how long can I leave them all in there? Dead one's still in there too.....
