Weird laying issue

Just read your post. She is still very active and healthy acting.
I will just cut out any scraps for awhile and look into the calcium supplements.
Went to the coop tonight and found directly under her in the bedding a perfect yolk and egg white with a paper thin shell.
I have seen her eat the layer pellets and they have oyster shell available at all times.
I will look at the calcium supplements.
Thanks
Also though I have not looked in a day or so I have checked her vent and felt her abdomin for any abnormal masses or swelling and when I checked last it appeared normal

Not salpingitis then since she has laid a shell less egg. That is really good news. There is more to egg shell quality than just calcium, so cutting our treats and just providing a layer pellet and oyster shell on the side may rebalance her. I have heard that greens like spinach and kale can prevent the absorption of calcium from the diet, so whilst we think of them as healthy treats, it might be best to avoid those too for a little while. Good luck getting her back on track.

Sorry, I've been offline due to internet outage, finally got it fixed.
You've gotten lots of good info, just wanted to add that at one time I was giving a lot of greens from my garden and was having some soft shelled or thin shelled eggs from a bird or two. Backed off the greens and the problem resolved, so diet may be contributing. Best of luck.
