she started either yesterday or the day before. she seems to be eating and drinking normally. i haven’t been able to be out constantly to watch for her poo. i tried some olive oil and i don’t think it helped. How long has she been doing this? It looks like she's adjusting her crop. This could be due to having eaten something that is difficult to pass (long fibrous grass or leaves, or foreign objects), or she may just have eaten a lot and has a very full crop. Check her crop to see what it feels like, hard, squishy, etc. Check her crop first thing in the morning before she's eaten to see if it's empty (it should be empty then). It will fill and empty throughout the day as she eats and digests if it's working normally, and will likely be full when she goes to roost at night. Is she eating and drinking normally otherwise, and are her droppings normal looking?
ok i separated her from the others and i’ve been watching her for about an hour-hour and a halfshe started either yesterday or the day before. she seems to be eating and drinking normally. i haven’t been able to be out constantly to watch for her poo. i tried some olive oil and i don’t think it helped.
My hen is doing the exact same thing but when I pick her up, liquid shoots out of her mouth… like drooling.my little one year old caramel brahma started doing this weird neck movement thing and i’m really worried about her. does anyone know what it is? there’s no specific time she does it, just kind of whatever she’s doing, she’ll pause to do whatever this is.
She has sour crop, I’ll link my thread where mine had that.My hen is doing the exact same thing but when I pick her up, liquid shoots out of her mouth… like drooling.
