A our first house we had a single guy in his 50s next to us. Probably 230 pounds and mowed in his SPEEDO! Ya, pretty sight. When I was in grad school and came home to visit husband (then fiancé) he found out what I was in school for and decided to tell me about his loose bowel movements. Did I mention he was hard of hearing and talked really loud? Oh ya, he looked like his pet pug! All that being said we were young, he watched our house when we were gone, loved our dogs and was pretty nice, just. . . . Quirky. if everyone were normal, it would be a boring world, I like the not dangerous, "interesting" people in my life.

We have the most awesome neighbors in the world who live across the street. They are in their seventies and never bother anybody. They only come outside once a month and when they do they are drunk and they yell profanities at each other. Its like a monthly cleansing ritual for them and everyone in the neighborhood pretends not to be listening but we all get together and laugh about it later. Its sort of like archie bunker but each episode is new. The only bad neighbor is the flashing creeper up the street and as long as he is taking his meds...

We have 2 sets of fabulous neighbors, but our other next door neighbors wont do ANYTHING to their back yard this year,( little has ever been done in the past few years). We have berry vines growing into our yards from their house. They never clean up the dog feces on the back patio

.(In Years!) We have offered to help but they always turn it down. Its a mom and daughter with a young grandson. The son had been living there too but know we never see him. The child never plays outside in the yard( too filthy). And they are up most nights all night. Neither workoutside the home. We have tried being neighborly and friendly, but it never gets too far. Not trying to be a nosy neighbor , but what can you do? Its kinda frustrating even with an open mind.
