Weird neighbors..

I just have one neighbor and they are super nice. But they have 13 hound dogs. We can't see them because they are at the back of their 5 acre property but if a UPS truck comes up our driveway they go NUTS. It's pretty funny actually. UPS guy gets out and hears them so he starts looking around everywhere like a herd of dogs is running at him. Other than that, very peaceful here. Previous house my inlaws were my neighbors. Hated that enough to move an hour away that requires interstate travel so my inlaws would never visit. It worked.

*sigh*

I attract crazy neighbors.

Right now the woman that lives in the garage apt thinks that people record her conversations. She also thinks someone broke into her apt and stole 2 porkchops and left a small white feather on the floor.

Ok guys you all have or had crazy neighbors but mine takes the cake, and he would too. Adam moved into the neoghborhood with his 2 wolf hybrids. Those dogs would make the creepiest most mournful howls, but otherwise beautiful dogs. He was mean to them so beighbors started to complain on him the treatment of his dogs. In the meantime he wouldnt leave anyone alone. Constantly borrowing stuff never to return. He would say crazy things and try to scare people with his actions. Made threats against neighbors. dug hugh holes in this yard. Cut down trees in the middle of the night with chainsaws and build hugh bonfires. Tell people that he had guns and was going to start a war with the police. Finally a ups guy came to his house to deliver something and when he went to knock on the door he saw a bunch of guns in his living room and called the police. They came to arrest him and he had over 100 guns in there. They took his dogs which I was glad the poor things. He was gone for awhile and then back. He started harrassing our new neighbor Barb who is a very nice neighbor who I have become friends with. She is a single mother raising 2 kids by herself. He has threatened her kids and shot her dog with a BB gun. When I found this out I marched straight down there and told him I know you shot Barbs dog why would you do that He just shrugged. Then I told him if I ever see you around my dogs or find out you shot at them I will come unload on you. He leaves me alone. This last winter he was arrested for breaking into peoples house and beating up his elderly step dad. We thought yea he's gone for a long time, but no he is back and the other night he stood on my other heighbors back porch and threw lit matches at their door cause they wouldnt answer their door for him.

sounds like he needs a one way trip to the pscyo ward!!!. To bad u can't video his behaviors. and call the police n show them. explain your all afraid for your safty

"We" are the weird neighbors on our street.

My parents bought a tear down condition house in the 60's and then plans changed and it never got torn down, no money. My dad liked interesting colors for the trim on the house that he could make out of free used paint mixed together. Often the house matched parts of his car (VW Bus) Dad was kind of a garden hoarder. He would find "useful" things and bring them home and leave them in the upper yard-front yard-or driveway for decades.

One neighbor hated the view so much they helped and built a fence across the front of the driveway so they did not have to see the few feet of junk, some times it is good to live on a private road.

The rest of the garden was either a jungle or garden of Eden depending on your background.

It has been years and years of me cleaning it up and hauling it off. And mostly making the property look good from the street, we are starting on the inside of the house and the old old garages.

But the outside house is looking good, the yard is looking good-and suddenly the neighbors are looking at themselves and wondering if maybe now they are the weird neighbors.

It seems the more "we" fix the place up, the more the neighbors start cleaning up too. (they can't own that weird neighbor on the street label....lol)

When we were off of the road long enough to do some improvements we got mixed reactions in the neighborhood.
Some neighbors started improving their homes/yards. That was great for everyone.
Others spent time on the phone or internet complaining to the code enforcement officers.
We got visits from CE, but we didn't even need permits for what we were doing. So, they would thank us for our
time, take a picture or two to prove they followed up on the complaint, and left us alone - until the next complaint!

speaking of CE, I don't need a permit to build this chicken coop do i? Never thought of that..

I sometimes wish we had weird nebiors lol to give me something to talk about lol

i don't have weird neighbors but the one family have small children that absolutely love my chickens. I let the kids pet/see the chickens whenever I'm around but i told the parents to not let their kids jump our fence to pet the chickens, especially when i am not home. I caught the youngest girl in our yard chasing our chickens after coming home from work. So far that is the only time i caught the kids doing that and hopefully the last.

We have some docile but interesting neighbors. Half the time they are either drunk or high on meds but they love our farm. One time we had a huge storm go through, lost lots of trees on our property, power was out for days…so being the good neighbor that I am, I stopped by their place to make sure that they were ok or if they needed something. Turns out that they never realized a storm went through because they passed out on their living room couch very, very naked. When I knocked on the door they woke up and it was only then that I saw the horror. I told them I was only checking to see if they made it through the storm ok and it looked like they did. Not a pretty sight.
