Weird new organic feed

I feed my four hens organic feed plus leftovers (and they pick at bugs and grass). Yep, they are spoiled.

My question: I just bought a new organic feed. Instead of pellets, it's really thin. Like raw wheat or oats. Just a few pieces of corn. They don't seem to like it.

Do chickens normally mind eating finally ground meal? It seems even less bulky than the stuff I gave them when they were babies.

Mine are eating the fine stuff (at first I thought they wouldn't) and they have less waste since it doesn't kick out of the feeder as easy as crumbles or pellets. The ducks LOVE it. Mixes better in water.
