It's little tiny egg that often has no yolk. Usually laid by new layers or older hens coming back into lay after a molt or at the end of her laying life. What is a wind egg
Is that a soft 'shell'.....or just some tissue attached to a normal shell?
I suggest you post your pics and descriptions in the duck forum to get the best and quickest feedback. It is a soft/no shell egg with a squiggle of membrane attached. We have found one other similar egg in last 10 days and one hard shell egg with a squiggle of extra shell. Reasonably sure it is from an Ancona duck or maybe a Rouen duck.
All three of these were laid by the same hen, who has been laying about two weeks. The first looks like a 3D map of the world...
Calcium deposits
The second was crunched up a little in the nest, so of course my son peeled it. It also had an oval shaped area that was darker than the rest...
Looks like it backed up and got reshelled
And this one was under the roost and "cracked" (it actually was not hard, although normal color -- is this a soft shell or no shell???) with normal yolk and white that I was lucky to find before anyone ate it!
shelless eggs...happen
