Weird phobias?

Geeze where to start? I'm afraid of the normal things like heights, small spaces, going through tunnels, sleeping naked freaks me out too. Loose teeth creep me out due to a childhood trauma where I had one of my baby teeth pushed back up into my gums in an accident. People I don't know touching me or standing too close. Dirty children touching me (I work at an elementary school, go figure). But my number one fear

FEET!

I have a panic attack if they touch me. Baby feet are alright, but once they start walking, it's over. I actually get anxioty attacks if feet are too close to me. My family finds this VERY funny. Once my DH sat on me and put his bare feet on my face. I almost passed out! The chilcren gathered round to watch point and laugh. DH uses this to his advantage. If I snore at night, he puts his big toe on me, I stop right away.

Escalators. When I was in fourth grade, the teachers gave us this big talk about getting our feet caught and used a chewed up kid's shoe as a visual aid. Been scared of those things every since. Also, I hate elevators because I'm so darn claustrophobic. Always afraid I'll get stuck inside...

hum, i too wonder now if we are more "chidken" than some other boards..hehe

I've been stuck in elevators, jumped out of planes. No sweat. No real phobias, as in irrational fear. But boy howdy, those Palmetto bugs give me the creeps big time. That's why I drown them in Lysol or whatever is handy. DH gets to clean up.

How could I forget balloons? Maybe because subconsciously even writing the word is scary!

My kids have never had balloons at their bday parties and we avoid restaurants that give away balloons or use them for decorations.

Hate 'em

Okay, that might be one for my list. I don't hate balloons per se- but I do hate to be startled, like when a balloon pops suddenly. Don't ever hide behind a door and jump out at me- I WILL do something very awful to you!

Wow, I thought I was the only one with this. Whenever anyone is near me even whispers they do not feel well, I immediately think I am going to get the stomach flu and go into a panic. I have anxiety and nausea and diarrhea is usually a symptom of me getting worked up as it is.

I am also afraid of spiders and leaving my feet exposed from under the covers, like something is going to get me. My anxiety meds have helped immensely with the phobias, but spiders still freak me out.

Oh, and not so sure about cactus either, one jumped out of a flower pot and attached itself to my sweather when I was like 6. My mother will tell you I am crazy, but I vividly remember the details of that day.......I was at grandmas house, and there was a cactus on the table (old man cactus) and I was reaching across the table for something andit jumped right out of the pot and attached to me. I remember the bits of dirt still clinging from it, I was TERRIFIED and screamed bloody murder. My grandma and mom just laughed at me.
