Weird place on beak.

I would look for something sharp such as a feeder or fencing that she may have injured her beak on. It should heal up on it's own, but you can dab on some betadine on the spot.

Thank you. I suspected it might be such. We have PVC feeders and use horizontal nipple waterers. Guessing she probably did it on the hardware cloth on the run. Can't think of any where else she could have done it but I'll check everything at chicken level tomorrow.

Is beak 'chipped'?
Dried blood on there?
Wipe with damp cloth to see better?

Agrees...something sharp, HC a good possibility.
I'd just keep an eye on it.
