My 4 month old leghorn chicken is haveng white runny poop. I am geussing that its diarrhea. So i am treating her with some home cures like black pepper and garlic. Is this enough to cure her? By the way she is also very weak.

Pictures of the poop would be helpful. Where are you located?
How long has this been going on?
Is her poop always this way or only sometimes?
What are you feeding?
Does she free range?
Is she eating? Drinking?
Are there others with her?

here are the answers:
I live in Bangladesh.
its been going for a week.
no this is the first time she is having poop like this.
I feed her chicken feed and fruits.
no.

Hello Rafiq,
Chickens are very social creatures and like friends so if you can get a second hen it would be a good idea.
Unfortunately the garlic is unlikely to solve this. Garlic is good for the intestines but apart from that I’ve never heard of it as a cure ... more of a healthy extra.
I would try to increase her proteins, perhaps with some tinned cat food which hens seem to like. Only give it to her for about 15 minutes a day for about 4 days. Make sure she always has fresh cool water and that the food is fresh. Avoid the fruit for a while as sugar can be a problem in excess.
If you have only recently opened the new food perhaps another bag ? Just an idea ?
Good luck

So the garlic wont work. But would the black pepper work? And Is there any other protein type food you can suggest?

Can you please post some photos of the poop and of the chick?
You are feeding chicken feed, a photo of the bag/ingredients would be helpful too.

Here you go
Is that a layer type feed, chick starter/grower? Does the feed have an analysis or ingredient list? (protein%, vitamin/mineral content, etc.)

How long have you had this chick?
Do you provide a source of grit (crushed granite/small rocks) so she can process foods?

Hard to know what's going on her - there's a lot of yellow in the poop - have you ever treated for Coccidiosis? Do you have access to any antibiotics? What can you get?
