Weird question

Ok so I wanted to start being a pescatarian, but people scaring me with stuff like fish doesn't have a nutrient we need and that my hair can fall off, is that possible?
o___O I don't know, but lots of people don't eat meat or fish or eggs or milk and if there was a missing nutrient that made peoples hair fall out I would imagine we would have heard about it by now.

If you do not have a balanced diet, I suspect that due to a deficiency you could have hair loss. However, I do not think this has anything to do with being pescatarian. I have been vegetarian for 15 years or so and still have a full head of hair, even without the health benefits of eating fish ;) The key is making sure you eat all the things your body needs and eating healthy and not just eating a bunch of highly processed junk food that is lacking in nutritional value. If you are concerned about the transition in your diet perhaps you can start taking a daily multivitamin (if you aren't already) and then you know you are at least getting the vitamins your body needs until you figure out how to get them all from your food. Also a gradual shift in diet instead of going cold turkey might help. Not everyone will understand your decision and eventually you won't have to explain yourself so much ;) They will also see that you are still healthy and have a full head of hair and will worry less.

Fish is high in Omega 3 fatty acids, which are excellent for skin and hair....
Fish has all kinds of nutrients that are good for you, including being high in protein. I'd say GO FOR IT!
