"where you stay at?" instead of "where are you from?" I heard this one a lot when we moved down to the Charlotte area.

"she's so Boughie" means she acting better than she is.
"bounce" - got to leave
"Baller" he has lots of money
"player" he has lots of women
"po-po" police
"whip" nice tricked out car
"tricked -out" car that has switches and all kinds of extras
"switches" the levers that make the car jump or raise up/lower
"school" - as in "Didn't we go to school together?" - jail
"pimp" really cool
Busted - broke
muffin top - the fat that flops over your jeans
hoochie - loose woman

I could go on and on!

Now my friend from New Zealand always said "the big I Am" when referring to some one who thought they were better than her or acting like they were in charge when they were not.

she also would say "stage production" when referring to someone making a big deal out of a situation

and of course, the bathroom is a loo
and al-u-min-eum not aluminum
boot = trunk
bonnet = hood

and she constantly accused me of butchering the "Queen's English"!!

Fixin. Eggzample------>We are "fixin" to go to the corner store to get some beer. I thought this was a widely used word across the United States of America. I have a really embaressing moment when I used this word. I cant relate it here. All I can tell you was that I was on a date in Pennsylvania and she laughed all night at my use of the word "fixin"

I figured "Bling" was fairly obvious. I hope my omission doesn't effect my "ghetto-fabulous" rating! Oh, that reminds me of another.....
Fabulosity - over the top expensive, glamorous and extreme
Spinnahs - the rims on your car that spin
spectator - cheap spinnahs where one doesn't spin but the other 3 do
cracked out - crazy
a mess - funny in an "out there" kind of way but can also mean really out of sorts
tore up from the floor up - a fashion disaster or "a mess"
actin grown - being too big for your britches
you stupid - ridiculous
chicken box - restaurant in baltimore that sells fried chicken and potato wedges

when I visited some friends in Philadelphia, I had never heard of Tasty cakes, or scrapple. Tasty cakes is very similar to Hostess
