Weird scale(?) On my chickens eye

Hi all, this weird white scaley thing has appeared on my chickens eye, I've tried wiping it off and unfortunately it doesn't come off or move at all.

Does anyone have any advice or idea what it could be?
She is the friendliest chook we have ever had and we are really hoping to get it fixed asap.
Will get vet advice this week

Hi - this is interesting, your vet will be able to provide input better than I can. Is she having vision problems? It looks like it might be a part of her inner eye lid that is stuck or something got into her eye, irritated it, and her eye formed a protective "scale" over it.

Were you able to get to the vet? I am interested in follow-up with what it was.
