Weird shell change

My call duck’s (whom I’m pretty sure is a quitter as it was due last Thursday) egg shell is changing colors. I have never had this happen before. I took it out because I fear exploding eggs- that was a horrific experience

Did you candle it?
It looks like it's gone bad, but I'd always reccomend candling before leaving late eggs in the incubator, and before tossing them

That is a dead egg, you were wise to get rid of it carefully.

Yes, and it still had veining, but no movement. Pretty sure it’s dead- but had never seen this before. Oh well
