This is a picture of my Easter Egger's back - just by her behind. Anyone know what is going on and if there is anything to do for it?

check her for bugs. But I bet someone is plucking out those feathers. That seems to be a favorite spot for them to go after, there and the butt below the vent. Get some blue kote and spray it on the bald spot when she is roosting. They are less attracted to the bald spot with the blue kote on it. You can cover the bald area with bag balm, vaseline to help protect the skin form the cold. Also, a hen apron would help some too. Feather plucking is hard to stop esp. in the winter since the birds are cooped up and bored. I give mine some hay to kick around and eat and half heads of cabbage to peck at instead of each other.
