Weird wild duckling

Pics
I have a little Pekin that is super small. She acts kind of clumsy, looks a little drowsy all the time and lays by herself. She is eating and drinking.she likes to isolate herself. She actually put herself in the night pen way from the others.

They brood lies on one side of the yard all night. They swim a little and she stays on the bank. I'm so scared for her to be gone one morning at feed time. She seems to be a little short of breath at times. This has been her norm this whole time.... They are at least 3 months old.

She may have a health problem such as a congenital heart condition. Have you had an avian vet check her out? I'm betting she's not feeling well.

Trouble doesn't seem to have problems breathing and his activity is fairly normal right now. He used to be too energetic until his adult feathers started coming in, then he got sluggish. He seems to like other ducks and will sleep with them, but he likes to wander around by himself.

Our closet one is hours away.

Her feathers stay ruffled. She doesn't groom herself like the others. She will run when chased.. She just seems slow and very relaxed.

I would just keep her comfortable and not make her exert herself unless necessary. She might not want to swim because her feathers are in bad shape. Maybe someone can advise you on how you can help her take care of them.

Trouble grooms a lot, perhaps too much, but doesn't mind the water right now. He's got a lot of fluff to go through before he gets really wet, anyway. Plus, he oils his feathers and fluff constantly.

I keep watching her. She is still eating and drinking. She wears out easy. She will still attempt to jump and compete for throw bits of tomatoes. Just watch and wait. She's precious.

I found the little bugger far from where he usually hangs out and caught him pulling out feathers. I thought I saw a bare patch under his wing, but I couldn't see it when I blew up the photo. He seems a bit tired today, but alert. His bill is beginning to yellow out, but the underside of it is still orange like a female duck. His head colors are changing, too.

My little girl duckie passed away. She struggled so,bad yesterday breathing, walking. She went in the night pen, in her house and laid down. I'm sad but relieved for her.

Awww, sorry to hear about your girl. At least she had a good life.

I'm a little worried about my ducky because he looked like he didn't feel well last weekend. I haven't looked for him since Saturday.

I found him this morning with his brothers who are all getting black faces. However, Trouble is getting an orange-ish face, instead. Also, every time he's around, I hear a male gadwall quack, but sometimes I don't see a gadwall in his area. I don't know if it's him quacking or there is a gadwall I don't see. He rarely vocalizes when he's around me.

When I walked up to him, all his brothers flew off. Trouble acted like he was going to fly off, too, but went swimming in the water with another female, possibly one of his sisters. Here is a photo of him and his wings. They didn't look at green today.

Here's another one with his fluffiness. Even though he's all fluffy, he keeps his fluff in good shape. I strongly suspect that he's over-grooming himself because areas where he can't reach very well have regular feathers. He's constantly grooming and pulling at his feathers.

I noticed his back feathers look a little gadwall-ish, too, and when he swims, his body configuration is different, more horizontal.

Just flipping thru different posts and ended up reading all 4 pages on Troublemaker. ...enjoyed it and seeing his changes...You've made a nice piece out of this...thanks.
