i have a mixed pullet and so when i was going to open them up and feed them i saw olive in the nesting box but a hen already laid in there olive pushed the egg aside and made herself comfy why did she push the egg away??? and how close is she to laying?

Sounds like she is starting to pay visits to the nest. She will get into it soon. Moving eggs away is normal for new layers, I find...

Yes. They might even move the fake eggs/golf balls around.

One of my Ladies kept putting multiple golf balls into her floor nest to keep her egg company when she was a new layer.
