weird?!?

Hi, i live in florida jacksonville and live in a nice neighbor hood, but never knew what im about to say would happen?

Well today i saw a female mallard in her usual nesting spot i stood there a few moents behimd a tree and watched trying not to scare her... But what i sawwas.....Weird..... i saw a man scare away the female and then put some things in her nest and threw some eggs in the pond...( poor eggs....

) when he quickly left and ....ran away.... i ran over to the nest to see before the mom came back... what i saw freaked me out.. he had put some type of reptile eggs.

.. freaky right but i then picked them up and broke them open and im sure they were lizard things or watever.... kreepy right!!!!!!!!!1

Woah, thats freaky. Who would do that? To open them uo and see lizards, i would probably crap myself, FYI!!

That is so sad! Poor momma duck.

It's terrible that people are so mean to such beautiful creatures or any animal for that matter.

She'll definitely move her nest since you took those reptile eggs out too. As far as the man is concerned... It would be nice to confront him and maybe he won't do it again but people are crazy and dangerous these days, so I wouldn't suggest saying anything to him. BUT, if you do see him again coming out there maybe just casually walk around out there and maybe he'll go away.

I don't get why he threw her eggs in the pond?! If there was no more room for his eggs in the nest, could he just move some eggs out ON THE LAND?! He didn't have to kill them... Hmm

Were they big eggs? I don't think he wanted to hatch those eggs for good intentions, if they were big my guess is gator.
I would report him to animal control.

Wouldn't the temp be to hot for gator eggs? And would she really set that long? 65 days for gators.
