Weirdo Orpington hen?

Updated pictures below! This is Black Hood (don't ask, my son named her/him/it) this morning. They wouldn't get down from the roosts because I brought my golden retriever over to the property with me, and they are terrified of him... even though he can't get to them and he has no interest in them when at the property. There are far too many other interesting things to find and sniff.

Anyway, I tried to look at the bottom of her feet and they appear gray/slate just like the tops. I couldn't get any good shots of her standing next to the other orpingtons because they would NOT get down from those roosts. They also don't let her on the top roost, she's the only one that sleeps on the lower of the two.

Sorry about the poop on the poop tray in the background, I should have cleaned it first and THEN taken pictures, but I did the opposite.

The bump on this side is pretty large now, and more rounded? Is that a spur? There also looks to be a really small more pointed bump on the other leg.

Above Blackhood: Blue (Blue Orpington) and Gooster (Lavender Ameraucana) - all 9 months old.

That's a hard one! LOL
I'm still going to say pullet. She came from Meyer Hatchery? Did you order her or was she an extra like a Meal Maker?

Blue is still the most Orpingtonish looking chicken ... but Buff has good colored legs, but looks quite tiny for an Orpington.

Blackhood has some pointy hackle feathers too ... how long has Blackhood had bright red comb and wattles?

Have you tipped Blackhood over and checked it's vent? Looking for a moistish puffy look, not dried up or tight ... or, you could take a day and watch if it lays an egg ... or crows!

I agree, Blue is the only one that really looks how I thought they all would.

Black Hood actually reddened up before the other girls. I'd say mid November, early December. I've spent full days watching them all free range while working on cleaning up branches at the property last week. Sun up to sun down - he/she never left to go to the egg boxes. It's never showed any typical cockerel behavior, either. Our Ameraucana rooster frequently puffs up, stands on alert, and of course, crows and mounts the hens.
