Thank you for all the welcomes! I appreciate all the helpful hints that are coming my way, even before I have the coop built, but keep them coming. I am in Florida and it has been "way too many years" since I had chickens (1970), but I had a flock that were my favorite creatures to spend time with daily. Wish me luck and please don't hesitate to send hints for chickens in our humid, tropical climate.

Such a nice surprise to stumble into this forum and realize I qualify to enter something. Yay! Im really enjoying BYC. I wish I would have known about it a few years ago when I got my first chicks, but its great to have now. Better late than never!
