Welcome to Kayla’s Flock!

Good evening peeps! :frow

Today’s update is pretty short & sweet. Nothing new so far. The flock as well as all of my animals are doing great. I plan on getting another tank for my male gecko tomorrow. Assuming they’re in stock. My buff Orpingtons keep laying eggs with blood spots, I think they’ve been laying a little over 2 weeks now... I guess they’re still new. I hope the problem goes away because ick :sick

Hello everyone.

Today had its ups and downs. To start, I’m quarantined again for 10 days due to exposure. I need to set up an appointment to be tested.

Next, I called the pet store, and they have no crickets. I’m completely out. They had no other insects other than calci-worms (curbside pickup btw). The geckos hate them. Luckily I have a few mealworms to get them by for a few more days.

My aunt’s pair of bb red OEGBs got separated. A dog killed Minnie, the hen. And left the rooster, Hay Hay (Hei Hei... but she spells it the other way). He’s been alone for weeks and she can’t go out there with him everyday like she used to due to her health. She’s already having funeral arrangements made. I agreed to take the rooster, he is so sweet and isn’t at all scared of people. He’s definitely been pampered. My aunt is starting to give away all of her things, and with the arrangements being made... I cried the whole way home. I know if she passes Hay Hay is going to be a constant reminder. But she absolutely loves this bird, so I’ll do my best to keep him happy and healthy.

It’s getting dark, sorry the pictures are bad.

Something I think is funny- I have a bb red OEGB cockerel named Mini! I laughed out loud when read there was a girl one named that.
So sorry for what you’re going through. Hay Hay is a very handsome boy!

Lol! That’s so ironic. I’m sure your Mini is very manly! You can tell him I said that ;)

Thank you :hugs
