Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

View attachment 1206727 View attachment 1206728we've got the drain in the tank all figured out. it's just coming up with a way to keep the area around the pool from being poop soup :p
A French drain is designed to handle standing water.... Its virtually a trench filled with rocks and gravel. put the stepping stones on top and soupy water drains out through the rocks where ever you want.... You can run it alongside your regular drain pipe.....

It can also be built without the perforated pipe...

Some contractors use them in the Swale of a house to handle water issues....

We use them around Washracks for the horses.... Keeps the area around the wash rack from becoming a quagmire....

Lord I hate cold weather. There's a skiff of ice on the Pond, and my lily pad et al are starting to shrivel. Time for semi hibernation. Good morning, Pond.
Morning Sour:frow
As much as I hate cold and ice, if the pond freezes over can someone teach me to ice-skate? Have to wrap me in bubble wrap and insulation! :D
