Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Wind is blowing something awful... The power flickered, man I hope it doesn't go out..I have eggs in the bator..:barnie
It's not very cold and can wrap them in a blanket. But that's my options..:idunno

Blowing up a storm here too!
I moved my silkied serama broody to my brooder on the back porch. Luckily she was in a moveable nest box. I covered it with a denim shirt and ran for the house. She didn't seem phased at all. At least I can stop digging under her to get newly laid eggs.

And I have 2 pips in the bator, both are OEGB eggs. :yesss:

I think I made a big mistake removing those eggs :(
She wasn't on them when I came by here at break today. . and hasn't been on them since I've been home from work. I went in and felt them and they feel cold

Did she ever get back on them? I bet she is recruiting the others to add more eggs. Maybe just take them and let her start over? Stick those in your incubator :D

Ewww...not fun! :(
Glad she doesn't fuss about being moved. So far none of my broodys have had a problem with being moved. The one that is a first time broody just kept getting in the wrong nest every time she got out.

:celebrate pips!:pop

She never went inside until I put them up for the night. Guess will see tomorrow. How long can they survive without being sat on?
My mother in law has an incubator I could borrow I suppose. I don't know what I'm doing though. Are you sure you are up for that? :lau
