Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Good morning, Pond. All is good here. I've been 'partially' absent because of real world business. My thoughts are with all of the Pond -Rav, 'K' and Debs are especially heavy on my mind right now. :hugs

:hugs

:frow Um, I'm jumping in here rather than try to catch up.

Hope all is well with everyone! :) Any questions, please send a PM. I don't want to clutter the pond with boring stuff.

:hugs
You could never cause 'clutter'... ;)

Yeah they are.... Sorry you all I broke a tooth last night and wasnt in the mood to chat..... Like what timing we are getting ready to go on a trip.... Lucky my dentist will get me in this morning.
Those Lady Derringers are sweet.... Never been fired.

Keep rubbing it in, why don'tcha??? :plbb

Wouldn't you know it?
Picking up a dozen BCM eggs next week, so I set up the old Hova-Bator just in case it had somehow gotten adjusted. Good thing I did; can't get the temp adjusted to anywhere close to 99.5. Enter Amazon... new Hova-Bator & turner due in Saturday.
Somehow, it doesn't make sense to spend $120 to incubate $30 worth of eggs! But Amazon comes through again :wee

While I'm on the subject of Hova-Bators, I'm going to try to replace the defective thermostat on my old one; always good to have a backup. Problem is, I've only ever had the one incubator, so I'm not up on current terminology; does the GQF Hova-Bator use what's known as a wafer stat?

The 1602N Hovabator does... they should say in descriptions if they have digital or manual/wafer types...

Advice?
I was helping a gal over on my "sudden death" thread and this lady posted another one of those "chickens killed by machine" videos (I didn't actually look at it) - report or ignore?
eeeeeeh

don't know...

I do think it should not be posted. .. can you just tell her that it shouldn't be posted.

My curiosity got the better of me. I watched it. It portrays the chicken processing process as horrible and evil. (Personally, I didn't find it quite so offensive as I probably should have.) The end of the video tells us to help put an end to this horrible practice by choosing "meat free" options...

Given the fact that your thread is more related to sudden, "unexplained" chicken deaths, I think the video was inappropriate for the topic.

That's just rude! Maybe you can tell her that this is a sudden death thread and that she is welcome to start her own thread instead of hijacking yours. Since you're the OP I wouldn't hesitate to delete it.
