RIP 1953-2021
Grandmas beginning this.... dimentia. were looking for an in house person to be here when we are both gone.... for a few hours a day.... Its hard... Mom thanks me profusely....My friend's mom is really losing memory (not Alzheimer's, just dementia - apparently when you're past 80, you can't "get" Alzheimer's) so I'm going to try to go visit her more regularly to -hopefully - reduce my friend's stress. It was very interesting to chat with her, and I can see where, if it was my own mom, I might get frustrated. But, not being related, she can pretty much say what she wants, when she wants, as many times as she wants, and it's no big deal. I'm taking notes for my own children... "When I'm old, just let me talk - regardless of how true or silly my stories might be. I was 'realistic' most of my life. I've earned some creative licence."![]()
