My friend's mom is really losing memory (not Alzheimer's, just dementia - apparently when you're past 80, you can't "get" Alzheimer's) so I'm going to try to go visit her more regularly to -hopefully - reduce my friend's stress. It was very interesting to chat with her, and I can see where, if it was my own mom, I might get frustrated. But, not being related, she can pretty much say what she wants, when she wants, as many times as she wants, and it's no big deal. I'm taking notes for my own children... "When I'm old, just let me talk - regardless of how true or silly my stories might be. I was 'realistic' most of my life. I've earned some creative licence."

Grandmas beginning this.... dimentia. were looking for an in house person to be here when we are both gone.... for a few hours a day.... Its hard... Mom thanks me profusely....

this rain needs to stop!

I was racing the rain all morning. It held off until about 4 pm. Trying to work on cleaning up the garden area, remove sticks, leaves, weeds, junk. Adjust the hot wire up higher, pick up rocks. Here is my messy garden.

What the heck is going on with everyone's hatches this year??

I only got 2 cream legbars to hatch! And almost lost the 2nd one. I was gone all day yesterday, came home to it half zipped and motionless. Peeled it open and luckily it was still alive. Super duper stuck and gooey. Yuck. But I think I actually got a male/female pair!

ETA - all the rest were beak between knees malpositioned!

Oh gosh, if my dozen CCL don't do better than that i will be miffed!
