Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I'm almost afraid to ask.... Were they ok??? :fl:fl:fl
Yep! I left my bedroom window open - we're like 100 feet from the barn. I didn't hear anything but little Petey boy this morning!
I have a hundred things to do before music lessons and then taking the choir out to sing for an assisted living facility... But, yeah, I don't really want to...

Oh, and little injured bird was pacing and making noise this morning, so I took her back out. I'll grab her each night and check for signs of infection, but she really wanted out of her hospital bed! She had a pretty good "crust" of scab/antibiotic goo on her, so she'll probably be okay.

Kind of the problem with the eldest..... I think he will manage to squeeze through college. .. we will see. And he's now thinking that maybe he will try to get a 2 year nursing degree while he gets his college diploma. But he isn't excited about college... so it makes it harder for him to study and do well. I think he can plod/slog through.... but I had so much fun in college learning new things  I feel bad he isn't having fun.

The only reason he is going is because the seminary said they super preferred if he had a college degree first... and he is hoping with a nursing degree he can get a job anywhere, incase whatever parish he goes to can't pay him. He does like the idea of helping people in pain. He is good with crotchety old people....

His ideal is to do a service in the morning... spend the day visiting parishioners and doing manual labor/upkeep of the church grounds... then doing a service at night... then put his feet up and goof off... repeat in the morning.

yeah... I have TOO MANY birds to give them all a foot rub times two!! :barnie
Funny thing about birds, you can have too many and not enough at the same time!:gig

They just don't want us to get any sleep do they?:hugs
Glad she's doing good!:love

@WVduckchick - yeah, I don't know about the shavings thing. Friends of ours blamed them for the death of their chicks, but I also know they don't take care of things very well, so they probably died from dehydration or something else...
Sorry about your hatch. I had quite a few Biele eggs that didn't make it - I think 8 out of 23... My hygrometer is messing up, I think. I also had them in with the Marans eggs, so I was trying to keep humidity a bit lower.
Hopefully your quad of CL girls will do great!

:yaOMG!!! :wee:highfive: I want that teapot too!

I water can, but the pressure cooker scares me too!

This really did make me laugh out loud! :lau:gig
My Dad used the pressure cooker a lot. The sound of the metal do- jig was common in that house. So pressure cookers don't scare me but then we don't own one yet.

My Anatolian mix dog brought this to me a bit ago and literally set it in my lap!!
A call egg! :celebrate
