Mom is in the hospital again. It's always hard to get to the bottom of everything, so I will probably make the trek up there Wednesday to see what I can figure out

Took the puppers to the vet on Friday to unstitch the eye to find out if the surgery worked or not, aaaannnddd,
SUCCESS!!! My girl can see again! WHEW!!!!

That was scary, I was so worried she would lose her sight.

Very happy for you both!

I lifted her front feathers up and there was a little wet Blue Marans! She has two more eggs to go!

I really like blues! yeah! For broodies!

Hey, use every opportunity to make friends with the kids.... Then teach them about your ducks, etc. How to be nice to them, never hurt ducks... etc.

And warn them if they ever touch one, you have crazy friends that will come and whoop their butts.

Harriett should be hatching her OEGBs too, but I checked under her this morning and didn't feel any chicks or empty shells.

And I have about 5 more broodies that have just started.

Definitely don’t want any snakes inside lol has happened only twice to me and one of those times was a cabin that had been vacant for the winter..
I’m hoping to get into some hatching next year though I will not really keep many..I’d like to do ducks and chickens..not sure what kinds yet probably depends on what I already have at that time lol...I am hoping to get chickens yet this year if I can..but may have to wait until next year..I want brown eggs a good layer and also a good meat source..what would you all suggest?
