Well now I have a definitely domestic rabbit loose with my chickens:

If I'm not mistaken, this is the exact same rabbit from last year. It belongs to the neighbor and was also loose in my yard last year all year and into the winter, and they were just going to leave it like that until my cousin posted something about on Facebook, at which point they finally came and caught it.

And yet here it is again. They must not have very secure hutches and must not care much about their rabbits.
:rantpeople.

Hard to get good pics of her, but looks like Malibu has at least 4 ducklings hatched. Last I checked a few days ago, she had 8 good eggs. :clap

May just be one hen out of the lot. Just another reason that I hate 'co nesting' hens. It's difficult to identify the trouble maker.

Good morning Pond Scum. Well, I guess it's more Pond Skippers. Not much scum on the Pond lately. Not sure that's a good thing. :hmm
We Need more sum! I have a few ideas that could clog the filter :p

Before I left the house, she got off the nest for a couple minutes. 5 beautiful little ducklings scurried out!! One egg in the middle of the nest, wrapped in another empty shell, was partially zipped. I grabbed it, but it was dead. Looked like she tried to peck it open, but the duckling had its head between its legs, and I'm sure the extra empty shell was hindering momma from breaking it free. So we've lost one. 5 alive, 1 dead, 1 egg was still in the middle of the nest, 1 egg unaccounted for! I think it was under some leaves, so I don't know its fate.
Will have plenty of pics later this evening.
5 is a good number! :woot

I did so much bad stuff as a young adult....

So far my kids have been making really good choices... I am not sure what is wrong with them. Maybe they aren't mine. :old

My eldest presents so poorly.... I always worry about him being in the world.... :barnie Mostly because I remember the pain I endured for having the same problems (huh... so I guess he must be genetically mine  )

He is getting better.... I think I got better with age..... maybe....

Anyway.... he is getting this HUGE honor in a few weeks (first week of July), and I am in this whirlwind of proud of him and terrified that he will present poorly infront of all of these muckitymucks and ruin his reputation.

Which is just sad... because unlike me he is a VERY good kid!

I feel your pain! :hugs He will rock this & who cares what those snooty sneeches think! :old
