Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

So my Journey continues.... All in all I am very happy I am in the hands of a research hospital.

scary... but also cool the entire medical advances part. I have photos and scans and a couple of biopsies of kid #1. Kind of cool getting to see all of his parts. I even have a couple of photos of his stomach and upper intestine.

Thank you..Yes, I've read it, saw that about the colder climates. This last winter wasnt typical for here, but we do get have a couple of weeks here and there of freezing temps and snow. But its usually short lived stuff. At that point i could put some straw on top to help with that. According to the article, if i read it right..:hmm

eh... whatever. The only problem with cold and sand is if the sand gets wet and then you freeze solid. That turns it into concrete. Concrete is not a good chicken landing pad. If you keep it dry then no problems at all, even in the cold.

I've about got my days and nights mixed up. I need to be going to bed with Lisa and Nat. But no o o. . I sit here awake for some reason. And then I don't wanna wake up in the morning. I slept till almost 10 today.
The ducks were ticked off to the max. :lau
Enjoy the sleep in:love
They'll get used to a later schedule in a day or two.;)
Finished with choir camp. The kids did a nice concert tonight!
Heading to the Orr-ish side family reunion -E's Mom's side. We will be sitting around talking about...I don't know. We have almost nothing in common. Ah well. It is what it is.
Congrats to you and the kids for a concert well done! :love
Hope the visit is good too! :fl
Sorry Lazy, looks like Bored beat me to it. Its near Monterey. Its a steep drive, but less time in a box for them & no minimum purchase for me.

I was thinking about you tonight Orr. We had trouble getting Iris into bed. Nobody liked him today. They wouldn't let him eat & wouldn't let him roost on his little ladder. I'm ready to stick a boot in the rear of all those girls. I found him just before bed starving & hiding in a plant. I fed him (he ate like he hadn't eaten all day) then I put him to bed. The girls usually leave him alone, but tonight they kept chasing him out of the coop. :hit I tucked him into the nesting box that he hatched in & stayed with him till he fell asleep. I remembered your baby chick lullabies & almost sang him a song that I used to sing to Mako when she was little, but then I thought of you saying he would adjust in a couple days so I didn't. I'm also hearing echoes of other past threads saying not to coddle roosters, but geeze, he's just a lost & lonely baby. I very much appreciate you guys being here for me to cry to & spout my crazy nonsense to. :hugs

I had every intention of doing just that. . but somehow I keep turning off my alarm. :hmm
And. . this is why. I'm still awake at one thirty in the morning. :he
Moved the duckling broodr upstairs. . it's nice and warm up there without the heat lamp And it's safe from the cat. . I only have 2 doors in my house that stay shut lol. So at least I won't have the light bothering me tonight.. .now I'll just worry about the baby being all alone up there. I may have left the tv on for her. . if that don't make me a nutcase
I just checked in on her she is sleeping soundly on her emotional support sock:)
Ok. I seriously gotta go to bed.
:loveya room. Hope your little roo gets to sleep too.
And for you too! :hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs

It'd be a whole bunch better if I could move pain-free. I've messed up my back somehow; happens every so often. Usually takes a couple days to straighten out. First time I remember not being able to dry my feet out of the shower. Real blast coming down here, one step at a time, sideways, trying not to spill half a cup of coffee while having a white-knuckle grip on the hand rail. Haven't ventured out to the birds yet; kinda waiting for those two Tylenol to kick in.

Oh no! That stinks! I hope the Tylenol kicks in soon and you can take it easy with that back for a day or so! :fl

Poor little Iris. Hens can be real biotches sometimes. :(
Glad you can share your woes here :hugs
