Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I think my biggest issue with rap isn't the music style itself, it's the profanity, the violence, and the misogyny that gets a "pass" because it's "art expression". Every now and then, there will be a rap song with witty, powerful, or poignant lyrics; and even if I don't love the style, I can get behind what they're saying.
I thought then were the positive attributes....:lau:gig

Yes... back in the 80's I really hated RAP.....I don't listen to it..... it's just I don't hate it anymore.
The lyrics bother me.... I'm not offended easily..... and I have a seriously bad potty mouth.... although not as bad as but son does.
He uses a certain four letter word as a noun..... verb.... adjective..etc...etc.
What does bother me is the fact that the rappers use all that violence and profanity and women objectifying..... then start preaching all these liberal causes..... it becomes very hipacritical..... same as actors that play in violent gun movies..... then act like that are above the rest of us.

Do out of the 18 eggs she’s on, all 18 are fertile and have good growth! :th Unfortunately two have small cracks so they may die :( I’ll try taping them and see how they do.

Good morning, Pond Life. There's neighbors, and then there's neighbors. I have good neighbors. Yesterday neighbors to the East had a day long party - they had more people visiting than I even know. Laughing, swimming, playing games, and all left by 11 PM. That's good neighbors. Folks to the West haven't had their 'summer party' yet - they know a lot of people too, but noise stops by 11 PM. Heading to Chincoteague, Va for a few days so I will be absent from the Pond. Feel free to use my lily pad, but please keep it dry. Thanks.
Habe a safe trip.. :frow
Yesterday morning E and Twin B were out doing chicken chores. I crutched out to help a bit (I can do the big poop board in the barn propped up by a little step ladder), and then I sat for a while and watched E and C work. They were scrubbing out and refilling waterers. And I began to think to myself, 'This is actually really good for them! They're working together, they're out of the house, and the son is not hating it!' This may end up being a good thing after all.
:love:love:love

No just caught that one walleye.... my buddy caught a nice northern too..... we hooked 5 large fish but only landed two.... one broke 15 lb. test line..... two other shook the hook.
I fought one for 15 minutes to have it get away.
Well, can't get em all... as long as ya had a good time... and the one was a nice one too! :D

Good morning Pond. :frow
I dont like rap either. But i do like a variety of music genres..:)

Yep yep yep.... and yep.....

I used to hate RAP music. I don't mind it anymore. I don't listen to it but after raising too boys I learned to tolerate it.
I find it funny that my brother is 51 and still listens to heavy metal turned all the way up.
But my brother thinks he's just still being cool.... kinda like he refuses to wear a seat belt even though it's the law.... he refuses to let his wife wear one too. Artually removed them from his last car.
When I said something about his extremely loud music..... he looked at me funny coz I said I listen to political talk radio. When I do listen to radio I listen to the 60's station
I like heavy metal... and im 63 Mostly Metallica....
