Perchie - how are Native Americans doing in recent times? Do they go for vaccinations that would protect them from many illnesses that might have wiped ancestors out? Or do they distrust the government and not have any?

I dont know.... Alot of them are going for the Gaming Grab.... But I am a history sponge ... I think they are onboard with vaccinations like the rest of us... IN California they have wonderful health care.

What happened to the trashcans??

They're against the back fence now. You can kinda see them in the background. Funny that you asked tho because when I told kid #1 where I wanted to build it she said "What about the trashcans?" The 2nd kid came in & I told her & she said, "But where will you put the trashcans?" No lie, 3rd kid walks in & I tell her & she says, "Where will you put the trashcans?" I said "Whats with you people & the trashcans? They're trashcans, they can go anywhere." An hour later DH came in & I kid you not, guess what the first thing he said was.... You'd fit right in here Al.

why so many? and different colors? do you have like 5 different trash trucks come by?

Yep, like Perchie said, Gray are trash, blue are recyclables & green is yard waste. Its 3 trucks that come by every Friday. We have to drag those suckers up & down the hill because the trucks are too heavy for my little road.

@room onthebroom, I know that sometimes you 'talk' trash, but can you really create enough to fill all of those cans ? Catio is outstanding.

What? Who? Me? We do generate a lot of trash, certain times of the year more than others. Usually its just one grey & one blue that goes out. In the spring sometimes all 3 greens will go out, but they wont go out all summer. When we're spring cleaning or around christmas sometimes both grays will go out. I used to hate having trash that wouldnt fit in the can & having to save it all week.

Thanks for all the positive feedback on the catio. DH & I don't really excel in the building dept & Its pretty catawampus. I'm the 'put the wood next to the wood, mark it & cut it' kind of person. He's the tape measure, calculating fractions & angles & having to recut a fraction of a centimeter kind of guy, so we're a challenging team.

The OP, who is having such a difficult time with this 'moral dilemma' seems to think this is a good idea.
