Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

So much attitude from such a small creature! :lau :love
Poor thing stayed a little long in the egg, came out with curled toes and had some trouble holding his head up which made it impossible to stand up so for the first day and a half he scooted around on his belly. His toes are pretty straight now and he’s learned to stand up and walk.

Darn!!! I missed wishing Phil well this morning! :barnie Pupper woke me up @ 1 a.m. to go out and wasn't able to get back to sleep until 3 a.m. so of course I overslept and didn't wake up until after 7 a.m. :thand now I'm groggy.
I was groggy too....
I guess the epidural didn't work.... So they put me all the way under..... Yeah it hurts.
But it is what it is.
They told me I need to take a break... I've been walking all over the dang floor.
But it hurts less that way.... Sitting is painful.
I sent the wife home at 1 p.m...

Too boring here.
I can catch the tiger game at 7....
They have been giving me.
Percocets.... And Dilaudin.... But they don't seem any better than my Morphine.
I hoping that they let me just go home and take my normal pain meds.

Surprised Phil had such a short ride this morning. (relatively speaking. Nothing for us is just down the road). Sadists. You would think they would show a bit of mercy for those who must roadtrip before daylight. At least put us a bit later in the "que". Oh well, at least we get to be the first to go back to sleep. ;)
Poor Phil. :hugs He's in for a long day. I have no idea how long a hip surgery might be but it can't be short.
My surgery next week is scheduled as first in line also but if all goes well it will be just a laparoscopic procedure. even if they hit too much scarring and I have to be "unzipped", there are not any major parts replacements involved. Easy peasy. I've already been opened up more times than a ziploc baggy of chocolate at a women's PMS support group so just another day at the office for me. Poor DH on the other hand........ I can only hope his daughter (the nurse) will be able to get off work to come sit with him. He's such a worrier when it comes to me :love

Ok, have a great day fellow paddlers! It will probably be quite some time before we hear from our fishing buddy. Hope you are having a good dreams my friend.:hugs View attachment 1757992
Was only a 45 minute drive..... Although the fog made it a little longer.
If they hadn't let it get done in Marquette I was going to have to do it in Milwaukee....

Sounds like you're handling it all pretty well! :highfive:
Hang in there and try to rest while you can! :hugs

Well, you're off to a good start in the recovery process, then!
Hope so.... The dang hip popped really loud a while ago.
But they say not to worry if it was dislocated they say I'd really know it.... I'm walking around pretty good at the moment.
But the PT nurse told me I need to slow it down a bit.
