Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I know exactly what you're saying and I did tell E that if she cries when I take her up there, she's probably just going to be coming back w me.
It's not that brother is bad or anything; she's just bored and lonely there. Here, it's the "I get that you're like a kid now and need kid-like stuff to do" activities that she loves. She just helped me pit 6 lbs. of cherries. Feeling needed is kinda important.
Aging sucks.... :hit :hugs

Hello, Pond!
I've been popping in off and on today, checking in - just haven't taken the time to post anything. Now that school's out, I'm in full-on Camp mode. It starts next Sunday. There are still buildings to clean, groceries to buy, precooking to do, and my own packing and getting the house ready for me to be gone for 3 weeks. (DH does a lot around here, but hopefully he'll get to be in the field some day. There is still time to plant beans, but it's sketchy for corn.)

I hope I don't miss anyone-
@perchie.girl - Deb, hang in there! You're getting so close, and I'm so excited for you! You are worth it. I'm so glad your mom will be helping with Grandma. (And hopefully will be able to help you, too?
@Alaskan - Glad your retina's not detaching. When I started getting floaters, I asked my eye Dr. what causes them. He just smiled and said, "Too many candles on your birthday cake."
@orrpeople - You're in a tough spot. Do you have room for your mom? Does she live with your brother full time? I'm an only child, so when my mom needs help, it's just me. It's OK, though. She's done so much for me, when it's my turn I'll do it.
@chickisoup - Have a fun day thrifting and antiquing!
Hi @Fields Mountain Farm and @room onthebroom!
@LittleLakePhil - That salmon looks delicious! DH smoked a fillet for us for supper the other night. Definitely my favorite way to eat it! Can't wait to get some fresh grilled this summer, though.
@sourland - Hey, Sour!
@WVduckchick - WV, how are you?

OK, off to hang up one more load of clothes and get back to work in my kitchen. I've lost it. I know it's under there somewhere....

Eh... :idunno I have always had floaters... like as a little kid I already had some... the gift of poor eyesight just keeps giving....

But right now the floaters are HUGE, and new and messing with my vision.

It is very much like a big tobacco stain fingerprint in the middle of the vision of my left eye.

With the added bonus of the middle part of my field of vision in my left eye all fuzzy... (that is from the stress bubbles behind the retina). :idunno

Doc said if I try to just stay upright 24/7 the huge tobacco stain floater will hopefully settle on the bottom of my eye sooner rather than later ....

Oh. Gee. That sounds easy. :th

I don't notice floaters during the day, but I've heard they are the reason I hallucinate giant, alien spiders in the middle of night.

It worries me that you're driving so far with eye obstructions. :hugs
