Ah but Capilary action will draw the WD 4O in along the threads.... at a molecular level. Caplilary action is what makes a wick work.

It also can cause strange leak locations under roofs.... Water Wicks under and finds a location to get out .... Viola right on the top of your head.

For what its worth WD 40 was invented here in the 1950s The formula is kept a secret therefore has never been patented... Developed for The space race part of which started right here in San Diego

I worked on drawings that were first started in the thirties....

Deb I understand it was a formula for water displacement, and that people using it for the Gov't were stealing cans of the stuff so they started selling it commercially. it stands for Water Displacement and it was the 40th attempt of the new product so it was shortened to WD 40 and no one ever tried to name it.

Mother Nature!!!
26o F this morning, really?!?!? Glad I covered the gardens last night. Oh well, we normally have at least one frost and or freeze this week most years. Mother Nature's idea of giving me a bday present I guess. Delaying our plans slightly as we have to uncover everything before we leave. Sweet DH is taking me on a little day trip and lunch for my bday.
One more trip around the sun completed and still vertical, THANK YOU LORD.
