Hip is doing well.... Pretty much back to normal now.

At 12:27 Goldenways Dances With the Stars aka Dani died. Great sadness here. The Princess is distraught . This was her buddy. Everything appeared good post surgery, but then she took a turn for the worse. Vet did not go home. He stayed with her, and she died on a blanket on the clinic floor not in a cage. Morning Pond,
Thanks for all your patience and support. This man doesn't need the place. He has a successful well business, nice home and we would not see him for years and only then when he wanted to hunt. That's it. He only wants the place for a hunting camp. (There's 5 adult stepchildren total and he's already talked to them about buying out their share if they didn't want it.) He even turned to me when he was in a horrible place with his marriage for counsel and support (cheating wife-another long story). Anyway, last one I thought would mean me harm, and I thought a great deal of him, just truly hurt. I've always been one of those silly people that trusts til you prove me wrong. Backwards I know, paid for it more than once, but it's just the way I'm built I guess. Anyway, like I said, forgive but not forget. I just thank the Lord I was able to discover his intent to take the place from me (or most likely his dad as well if I go first) because his dad owned it when we married (keep in mind this was only empty land with an old trailer on it with no power or water that was just a hunting shack that he picked up after his first marriage failed when we married 25 yrs ago).

Hey Phil!!!! Happy belated Birthday buddy! Glad to know the big water didn't getcha' Totally understand the "busy" thing. Same here.

Can't "like" this. So sorry sour for you and the princess. We all understand. No words to help with the pain just a very sincere hug and prayers for you both.

I'm sorry, Sour. I know that story all too well, as does anyone who's made animals a major part of their life. Losing one never gets any easier, but the memories remain.

Thanks, friends. She had a good life with us and created many memories - she could be a handful. At times it was like having a teen aged daughter in the house.

@chickisoup - forewarned is forearmed. Well done on your part. I have a friend whose step children tried to screw her over after their father/her husband died. He was an intuitive man and had legally protected her which the kids soon discovered.
