Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Very nice!

morning fellow paddlers, :frow
I'll be lurking for a bit, too difficult to type. nothing se:barnierious, just a brace on my left hand/wrist and of course I'm left handed :thdon't worry, no damage to the "repair work" when i fell. rolled my ankle stepping in a chicken crater hidden by grass and jammed my hand trying to break my fall. swear the feathered terrors were laughing at me :pop
Dang all!

:hugs

Jr. High camp day 1: Immediately after breakfast a camper left the dining hall and started vomiting. (The kid had only eaten a piece of toast and a small glass of juice - I didn’t poison him.) About 15 minutes later, a counselor came and told me about another camper having diarrhea. He said he’d had it along with stomach cramps for “a couple of days”. Both kids were sent home. Shortly after that, DIL called and asked if she and GS could come for a day or two (DS is working a long stretch of 12 hour days.) Then I looked out the window and saw the health inspector getting out of her car. (Inspection went well.) All of this happened before noon. Grandson and his mother arrived at 5:00.

Day Two: Got up and started breakfast. I was informed that our camp director was up sick last night. Within an hour, my co-cook, one of the counselors and one of my kitchen helpers told me they didn’t feel well. Director was sent home, the others went to rest for a while. The counselor is better and my kitchen helper is feeling better. Co-cook is still out.

Happily, last week’s co-cook is off work today and came to help. She also offered to cook breakfast tomorrow so I can sleep in.

Ugh! :barnie Cant like this!!! :he

I did not make the cake.
The table decorations were kind of a group effort,
The fireplace area where the ceremony happened was decorated by me. It was supposed to be outside but it rained so we had to hustle and decorate that area yesterday morning.
The venue we paid for had a "goodie barn" with loads of stuff available to use. Pretty cool. .but dang I was worn to a frazzle from hauling stuff in and out. View attachment 1817187 View attachment 1817199 View attachment 1817200 View attachment 1817201

That goodie barn is amazing. Crazy amount of stuff in there.

And wow about the pregnancy....her first isn't yet a year... right?

I came with one daughter the same age as his son. They were actually in the same grade in school even. So that was fun! :gig

Gotcha!

I love babies... but I think I wouldn't have made it if they had come close together. I like sleep. :idunno

I have some friends who had 3 in 3 years... they can't remember anything that happened when the kids were little... but once the kids were a bit older they said it was great having them so close. A lot of the same activities etc.
